Writer’s advice on writing diversely but authentically
Over the past month, we’ve seen a few instances of writers seeking to write diversity and experiencing some intense pushback.
We’re not here to agree or disagree with the issues raised by critics, since we didn’t read the works in question, but we did think it was good timing on Joanna Penn’s part to host a guest piece on how to write diversely.
Bharat Krishnan, a writer and philanthropic consultant, offers some advice on how to do this, whether you’re drawing on your own experiences or imagining those of another group, in this column.
