Writer’s advice on writing diversely but authentically

Over the past month, we’ve seen a few instances of writers seeking to write diversity and experiencing some intense pushback.

We’re not here to agree or disagree with the issues raised by critics, since we didn’t read the works in question, but we did think it was good timing on Joanna Penn’s part to host a guest piece on how to write diversely.

(And feel free to check out Patrice Williams Marks’s posts for us on what sensitivity readers are and how to become one, if this is a topic near and dear to your heart!)
