Jenna Blum may be a New York Times and international best-selling author, but that doesn’t mean she's immune to a writer's everyday challenges.

In her words, she’s likely spent more time scolding herself for procrastinating than she actually has procrastinating.

That said, though, she recently decided to come to terms with the habit and put it to good use.

She lists off seven activities that she now considers “productive procrastination” — activities that, while distracting you from writing, can still help with the creative process.
