RWA president apologizes for lack of diversity among RITA finalists
The president of the Romance Writers of America has issued a statement apologizing for the lack of diversity in the RITA finalist list.
In a press release, HelenKay Dimon acknowledges that she and the RWA board cannot undo the hurt caused to members of color and LGBTQ+ members.
She and the board, however, identified what they believe to be the root of the problem and promised to take actionable steps to resolve it.
