Beta readers are just as valuable to children’s book authors as they are to YA and adult-fiction authors, as Marie Unanue discovered.

The feedback she received from her first set of readers prompted an exhaustive revision, and on the next go-round, she was able to not only fine-tune her story, but also polish the questions she asked the kids.
