David Gaughran: They’re still stuffing books

by

David Gaughran is frustrated to report that book-stuffing is alive and well despite Kindle Direct Publishing’s rule changes.

He posted Sunday that while one notorious offender has been shut down, many other egregious cases are still out there:

Book stuffers are continuing largely as normal, only making minor tweaks to their presentation, simply appending the words “Collection” or “Compilation” to their titles and covers. And not even bothering to do that on all their (still) stuffed books.

He floats a number of theories on why Amazon hasn’t cracked down and examines one particular author’s use of what he's calling "mosaic stuffing" in great detail on his blog.
